With skateboarding scheduled to hit the Tokyo Games this summer if the coronavirus does’t thwart the plan, it’s not surprising that Asics is testing the waters with its Japanese Sportstyle line. VHS Mag broke the news this morning via an edit and images posted on its website. While this feels like another attempt to cash in on the Olympics, the classic Asics have always been good for skating. And this Far East foray could be an indication of a pending global launch.
