Expect to see new faces, previous champions, and returning contenders in the Battle at The Berrics 13 “Freedom”, which will start next week.
In their video announcement, The Berrics also revealed that they will make a limited edition BATB 13 board available weekly. The actual boards will serve as tickets to the Finals Night.
Battle at the Berrics is a skateboarding competition that takes place at The Berrics, a private indoor skatepark in Los Angeles. The competition is based on the game of S.K.A.T.E., which is similar to the game of H.O.R.S.E. in basketball.
In S.K.A.T.E., two skaters take turns performing tricks; if one skater fails to replicate the other skater’s trick, they get a letter. The first skater to spell out S.K.A.T.E. loses. The skaters compete in a single-elimination bracket until one winner is crowned.
