The skateboard has officially become a luxury item. Chanel just released a $7,700 set-up as a part of its SS19 collection; and it’s as ridiculous as you would expect it to be. Constructed from lacquered wood, and complete with longboard trucks, Chanel’s new offering is definitely unappealing in terms of price and design to the average skate consumer. But we’re sure we’ll see someone flexing on the Gram with it at some point before the year is over.
