The Damn Am is a global amateur skateboarding contest series that serves as the pathway to Tampa Am. Over 10,000 skaters have participated in Damn Am events since its inception in 2001 including most of today’s top pros.
To qualify for Damn Am, a skater must meet any ONE of the following criteria:
- Prior participation in Damn Am / Tampa Am events
- Support and backing of established industry brands
- Footage showing ability and skill that we think could be potentially enough to place in the top 12
This year’s Damn Am Series has four stops. The first stop was in LA. The second one was supposed to be in Barcelona but was later moved to Amsterdam.
The third stop for the Damn Am series was initially set on August 5-7 at the Murakami City Skatepark, Japan but was postponed because of new Covid restrictions. Skatepark of Tampa will make an announcement as to when and where the next stop will be.
Damn Am Japan will have men’s and women’s disciplines. The top 6 women automatically qualify for the 2023 SPoT Women’s Open.
The fourth stop is set on September 9-10 at LES Coleman Oval Skatepark, NYC, NY. Registration is now open for this event.
