Roger Gastman is the guy behind While You Were Sleeping. Founded in 1997 when Gastman was only 19, WYWS was graffiti’s version of Big Brother. It featured articles on failed child stars, admirable serial killers, and porn stars while showcasing the best graffiti writers of the era including: ESPO, Banksy, Shepard Fairey, and more. Today, Gastman is the curator of Los Angeles’ Beyond The Streets exhibition which is the self-proclaimed biggest street art show ever.
