The festival originated in Montpellier, France, in 1997 and was conceived and organized by the French company Hurricane Group.
Over time, it has evolved to become the world’s premier urban sports festival, showcasing a diverse range of urban sports disciplines, including Skateboarding and Freestyle BMX.
