20 years after Dogtown and Z-Boys inspired the 2005 feature film, Lords of Dogtown is being adapted for the small screen. News broke last week that IMDB TV is producing an hour-long drama set in 1970s Southern California, which will follow a “hell-raising teenage girl growing up in the foster care system, who falls in with a crowd of skaters that idolize the famed Zephyr Team.” Despite the numerous cliches contained in that summary, we’re still curious to see how this revival pans out, and if Nuge will reprise his role as Shogo Kubo. No word on a release date as of yet, but you can revisit Vans’ Tony Alva documentary from last year to brush up on the key plot points.
