Heads Up: New Vegan Burger Spot Across From Tompkins

If, like us, you are low-key fanatical about Impossible Burgers, and find yourself around L.E.S. / East Village a few days out of the week, then you’ll be hyped to hear that there’s a new vegan burger spot across the street from Tompkins.

Pop’s Eat-Rite is the latest offering from the same crew that runs Goodnight Sonny and The Wayland, and is a direct product of the new normal. You can read about how Endless Hospitality pivoted from an upscale Italian joint to a to-go burger stand as a result of the pandemic in Gothamist’s article on their new venture.

The photos suggest that Pop’s burger is proper, and the location is obviously skate-friendly. This just opened on Tuesday, so check it early if you’re around the neighborhood. We’ll definitely be taking it for a test drive this weekend. The hours are noon to 9pm Tuesday through Sunday, and it’s located at 123 St. Marks at Avenue A.
