Big L was a staple of hip hop’s golden era, and has been featured in a fair number of skate videos. The most notable being Stevie Williams The Chocolate Tour [1999] part. On February 15 1999, L was gunned down in Harlem. Skate Muzik paid homage to the Uptown rapper on the 20th anniversary of his death with an hour-long set of classic Big L tracks. In 2013, we handled the music supervision for DGK’s Fabian Alomar Free Fabes campaign, and chose L’s “Street Struck” because it perfectly encapsulated the era and Fabian’s story.
