Spike Jonze to Make Short Documentary on Consumer Cannabis

MedMen’s new cannabis commercial hit the internet yesterday. The Spike Jonze-directed short is the first-ever marijuana commercial to appear on U.S. television. MedMen is a grow operation that lobbies for cannabis as a consumer product. Its large-scale “The New Normal” campaign will be launching with segments on TV networks, print and radio ads, as well as advertisements in movie theaters in California, Nevada, and Michigan.
