Jason Dill Reveals F.A. adidas Shoes & Clothing Line

Jason Dill - Stop And Chat | The Nine Club With Chris Roberts

The Nine Club breaks quarantine with a new remote series called Stop and Chat. The second episode features a two-hour interview with Jason Dill. As always, there is a lot of information to digest from the Fucking Awesome founder. Most interesting is the reveal of two new F.A. adidas shoe designs, and a branded clothing that are currently on hold due to COVID-19.

What’s interesting about adidas is [that] when I road for Vans, I loved the people. I understood the simplicity behind a shoe like the authentic that I skated in. But I wanted to do more. I wanted to take my ability to design and have it in a place that if I ask crazy questions, they can be like, “Well, let’s call NASA and see what they think about it.” Nothing to take away from Vans, but there’s a certain level of design with adidas that’s so technical. I can kind of come up with a lot. Speaking of, these hopefully come out one day…These are the best shoes that I’ve made in my life… They might not come out. I don’t know. I think they’re made; but I’m not sure. We have a whole run of clothing for adidas that we made commercials for and everything. It’s all on hold.

It’s worth noting that the shoes were previously teased in the below Instagram posts. Watch the full Nine Club interview above. The quoted section begins at 25:37. And in related news, Jonathan Rentschler has released a 24-page zine featuring Dill in the East Village and Lower East Side. Head over over to SOLO for a preview.
