British artist Adrian Wilson created the Supreme Mundi as a commentary on current trends in the art world and hype culture. Billed as the the world’s most expensive skateboard, the deck is made from an artist’s palette that’s been decorated with a knock-off Supreme logo. It draws inspiration from the $450 million sale of Salvador Mundi in 2017, and the auction of the complete set of Supreme decks held by Sotheby’s in January. This fully functional skateboard was sold to a private collector via eBay for $20,000, which proves that people will literally buy anything.
