As mentioned previously, Nick Tershay invented the blueprint for influencer and viral marketing in an era when social media was still in its infancy. Given that, his entrepreneurially-focused interviews are always worth a listen. This one with Berner is especially good. The two San Francisco natives discuss building brands, changes in the City, and next moves during a 45-minute conversation that was released via the rapper’s podcast earlier this week.
When asked about current goals in the wake of the 13-year anniversary of the Diamond Dunk and a high-profile collaboration with the estate of Jean Michelle Basquiat, Tershay puts the idea of a Diamond Supply Co. and Jordan Brand collaboration into the universe at the 38:57 mark.
I was thinking about that the other day. I’ve done all of the ones [collaborations] that I would really care to do. The only one that I haven’t done that I would love to do is a Jordan Brand collab. Jordan is my favorite. I’ve been a collector since I was a kid. A Diamond Jordan would be the ultimate for me.
Will this shoe will manifest itself a some point in the next few years? Time will tell. For now, listen to the entire conversation above.
