The release of Donald Glover’s adidas Originals campaign made national news yesterday. Na-Kel Smith’s rising star also leveled up through a cameo in Glover’s latest short film at the 0:25 mark. The collaboration includes the adidas Nizza, Continental 80, and Lacombe, and highlights typically frowned upon features like uneven stitching and laces that are designed to fray over time. Glover’s goal is to get people to think about how their stories can be told on their feet. “Value isn’t quantified by what you wear, rather the experiences from them,” the Atlanta star and Grammy award-winning artist says in a statement released by adidas to coincide with the product launch. The collection hits stores on April 26.
