Guinness World Record Awards Leticia Bufoni Two Record Certificates

Leticia Bufoni | Guinness World Record

The Guinness World Records recently awarded Leticia Bufoni two titles -the most medals by a female in a Summer X Games discipline, and the most gold medal in Women’s Street.

The Brazilian-American skater has 12 X Games medals so far with six golds, three silvers, and three bronzes in a span of more than a decade. Five out of the six golds are for the Women’s Street discipline.

She first achieved her X Games medal in 2010 when she won silver in the Women’s Street event. She got her first gold in X Games Foz do Iguacu in 2013. Bufoni’s first appearance in the X Games was in 2007 when she was just 14 years old.

She was first awarded the title for most medals won in X Games summer disciplines (female) in June 2019 after receiving her 11th medal. She has also held the record for most Skateboard Street gold medals won at the X Games (female) together with Elissa Steamer since 2019. Her fifth gold in 2021 means that she is the sole title holder now.

She competed again in this year’s Summer X Games Women’s Street, the day after she received her Guinness certificate. This time, the gold medal went to the Tokyo Summer Olympics Street Skateboarding gold medalist Momiji Nishiya.
