Nyjah Huston put on a stunning performance yesterday afternoon to win his third SLS World Championship in a row. His effort was punctuated by a cab flip to back lip in the Best Trick section that earned a 9.7 score, which is one of the highest in the contest’s 10-year history. Draped in an American flag, Huston reminded the world that he’s the last of the OG SLS pros out there competing against a crop of new skaters in his post-contest interview. In addition to adding to his legendary contest legacy, this win should seal Huston’s spot as a competitor for Team USA at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. And he’s certainly the betting man’s choice to bring home the gold. Check out his highlight reel from Sunday’s competition below.
