Return Used Skateboard Wheels and Give Them a New Life

Published

on

Don’t throw your used skateboard wheels in the trash. Take them instead to collection centers for the Re-Life program and keep them out of the landfill.

Re-Life Wheel Recycling Program is a brainchild of Satori Wheels in partnership with skate shops, distributors, and skaters.

They collect used skateboard wheels, clean them, and shave them into consistent-sized cores. These are then coated and molded with fresh high-grade urethane. The resulting product is made of 70% post-consumer recycled content.

The shaved-off parts of the wheel are sent to another organization that repurposes them into other products.

You can buy Re-Life wheels on their website and at skate shops near you.
