Tony Alva is the latest pro skater to become the subject of a documentary. Alva was a pioneer of pool skating in the ‘70s. The approach and attitude that he and the Z-Boys brought to skateboarding has become a defining aspect of the culture. And, at 61, Alva is currently the oldest professional skateboarder in the world. Vans’ new documentary on this founding father of our lifestyle is set to make its debut at the Newport Beach Film Festival on April 27. Watch the trailer for The Tony Alva Story above.
