What is Red Bull Sōlus?

Red Bull Sōlus is a digital skate competition conceptualized by Ryan Sheckler.

Each skater would be given one hour at the SC Sandlot to film their best continuous line and would be judged based on overall impression with emphasis on a combination of difficulty, style, use of course, and trick selection.

Red Bull Sōlus 2022

This year’s Red Bull Sōlus features 17 skaters–11 men and 6 women. The runs were filmed last June 6-8 at Sheckler’s Training Facility, the SC Sandlot. They were provided with filmers but there were no other skaters and spectators around during their allotted time. The participants also did not have knowledge of who else is competing.

The event was by invitation only, but this year it gave a chance for non-pros to join through the Red Bull Sōlus Open Digital Qualifiers. Jonathan Henderson from Lynnwood, CA, and Ricci Tres from Los Angeles, CA won in the qualifiers and got the chance to film their entries for the finals.
