Woodward West Brings Back Mano a Mano
Woodward West brings back the Mano A Mano tournament, bringing together 32 of the finest transition skaters from across the globe. The Mano a Mano 2023 thrilling single-elimination competition promises an exhilarating display of skill and talent on the iconic Mini Ramp.
In an exciting update for this year’s event, eight additional skilled skaters have been invited to join the women’s, elevating the total number of participants to 16.
Fans can look forward to witnessing intense head-to-head battles between the world’s best transition skaters. The S.K.A.T.E. format guarantees electrifying moments as competitors go trick-for-trick, pushing the boundaries of their abilities while showcasing their signature styles.
To heighten the excitement even further, organizers have introduced more bonus challenges, offering participants the opportunity to compete for cash prizes.
Mano A Mano 2023 promises to be an unforgettable spectacle, with Woodward West serving as the perfect backdrop for this extraordinary gathering of skateboarding talent.
Round 1 kicks off on June 5. Mark your calendars and get ready to witness the evolution of transition skateboarding at its finest.

Joseph Garbaccio wins FISE Xperience Tour Final Leg in Le Havre
Local star Joseph Gabaccio set his city’s Bowl on fire, winning the Skateboard Bowl Pro ahead of young Spanish rider Bijueska Egoitz and Reunion’s Stellio Sakellarides during last weekend’s FISE Xperience.
Around 35,000 spectators and 200 riders took part in the four competing disciplines of the event, namely BMX Freestyle Park, Skateboard Bowl, Roller Freestyle Park and Scooter Bowl.
In Roller Freestyle Park Pro, Jérémy Domingues took the win in front of a delighted crowd. He beat Tom Lecouls from Le Havre and Zahir Hanaizi. Reigning champion Armelle Tisler claimed victory in the women’s category beating Carla Pasquinelli and Jeanne Sauvage.
Esteban Clot took the top spot at the Scooter Bowl, ahead of Mathias Villers, and Arthur Frugier in 3rd place.
Tom Clemens from Germany won BMX Freestyle Park Pro, with Pim Scheers from the Netherlands and Lilian Virazel from Montpellier in second and third place, respectively. France’s Laury Perez dominated the women’s category, ahead of Colombia’s Queen Saray Villegas Serna and France’s Julie Plousey.
In addition to the competitions, the public in Le Havre enjoyed the presence of Alex Jumelin, the emblematic figure of French BMX Flatland, who came as part of the Jules x FISE capsule collection, co-designed by the athlete. He put on a show throughout the weekend, offering numerous demos and signing sessions.

FISE Xperience Series 2023 Kicks Off Friday in Le Havre


The FISE Xperience Series 2023’s fourth and last stage will begin this Friday, August 25th, in Le Havre.
The festival will run throughout the weekend, featuring a program that brings together riders from all over Europe competing in four different disciplines: BMX Freestyle Park, Skateboard Bowl, Roller Freestyle Park, and Scooter Bowl.
The FISE Xperience Series tour continues with Le Havre as its latest host, following successful events in Tignes, Reims, and Thonon-les-Bains earlier this year.
The venue features two sports areas tailored to the various disciplines in competition, including a Freestyle Park for BMX Freestyle Park and Roller Freestyle, as well as the iconic Bowl du Havre for Skateboard Bowl and Scooter Bowl.
The competition is open to both men and women and will showcase the world’s top riders as well as national competitors against the local urban talents.
Along with the four disciplines represented, there will also be shred contests and fun challenges for all categories of participants.
In addition to the title of FISE Xperience Le Havre winner for the 4 disciplines represented, the BMX Freestyle Park competition will also count as a stage in the Coupe de France FFC (French Cycling Federation).
Pro riders will thus be able to collect UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) points for the world ranking qualification process, one year ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
This last stop on the FISE Xperience Series tour will also feature Alex Jumelin, an emblematic figure of French BMX Flatland and FISE Montpellier, as part of the Jules x FISE capsule collection, co-designed by the athlete.
Visit the Jules stand on Saturday, August 26, from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 27, from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. for BMX Flatland demos by Alex Jumelin, followed by autograph sessions.

Jackalope Festival 2023 Back in Montreal
After the successful Jackalope Festival in Virginia Beach, Canada’s ultimate action sports event is back to its original roots.
Jackalope Festival Montreal will be held August 25-27 at the Olympic Park Esplanade.
Now in its 11th year, the three-day event brings together the athletes and pros in skateboarding, bouldering, FMX, and base jumping.
Pedro Barros, Mitchie Brusco and Phil Dulude are expected to grace the festival. participants to perform in a cash-for-tricks best trick events in the bowl,
The festival also features pop-up shops, food trucks, and other activities. It is open to the public.
