Ari Marcopoulos’s name sits alongside Tobin Yelland’s and Larry Clark’s in terms of documenting the origins of the street culture spawned by skateboarding in the ‘90s. Given that, his discovery of a brown bag filled with Super 8 cassettes of skate footage captured during that era is exciting to say the least. Marcopoulos will be showing Brown Bag as the centerpiece of his upcoming solo show titled Into The Now, which opens at galerie frank elbaz in Paris this weekend.
