Santa Cruz Skateboards crew sits down with Steve Alba to get the sauce on how to skate forever in this episode of “True Grit.”

Salba has been skating for 50 years and has inspired other skateboarders like Tony Hawk, Lance Mountain, and Jeff Kendall.

Jamie Foy, Jake Hayes, Guy Mariano, Mike Anderson, Christian Henry, Dylan Jaeb, Vincent Alvarez, Adrian Adrid, and Franky Villani graced the grand opening of the Dickies Fire Station Skate Plaza with a demo.

The skatepark in Fort Worth, TX, took a decade in the making. The project started with a group of passionate Fort Worth skaters, with Magnolia Skateshop at the forefront, raising $80,000 to build a one-of-a-kind skate plaza and concrete pump track.

Near Southside, Inc. also pitched in and it was able to secure a $300,000 donation from VF Foundation, the nonprofit arm of VF Corporation which owns Dickies among other brands.

With additional support from the City of Fort Worth, the project was made possible. Now skaters of all levels can enjoy this awesome new spot in the city!
