Amazon Music Reflects on Notorious B.I.G’s ‘Ready to Die’ Album
Notorious B.I.G’s debut album turns 25 tomorrow. From the cover to the tracks, Ready to Die has been referenced countless times in skateboarding over the past two-and-a-half decades. And, like Wu-Tang Clan, Biggie is one of those artists that will always be synonymous with our culture. Amazon Music shines a spotlight on that pivotal moment when Big transitioned from unsigned hype to rap phenomenon with its latest minidoc. It does a good job of telling the story of how Ready to Die was made while illustrating the rapper’s impact on Brooklyn itself, which certainly hits close to home for us. Check it out above.
