Mike Valley to Release 30-Year Anniversary Barnyard Board
Mike Vallely’s World Industries Barnyard deck turns 30 this year. It’s iconic for many reasons—primarily because it was the precursor to the modern skateboard shape, and Marc McKee’s first board graphic. In the new episode of Chris Nieratko’s Skaters in Cars, Vallely reveals that he will be releasing an updated version of the graphic drawn my McKee through his Street Plant brand later this year. In addition, he gives a good bit of insight into the early days of the Brooklyn Banks, and revisits his old stomping grounds at 7th Street School in San Pedro, where some of his most memorable skateboarding was captured in the ‘90s.
