Yurin Fujii for Creature Skateboards

Fresh off the Creachzilla Japan tour, Yurin Fujii puts it down in her first full part for Creature Skateboards.

The 17-year-old park skateboarder from Kaganawa, Japan, has been active in the competition scene since her teens.

She recently placed third in Red Bull Bowl Rippers France and X Games Japan Women’s Park in 2023. She also won first place in the World Skate Games Vert Championships in 2022.

But she started out in Exposure contests, winning second place in Exposure Women’s Park Open (6-14) in 2019. In 2020 she won Exposure Best Video Part Transition for 14 years and under. In the succeeding year, she won the same title but for the 15-29 age bracket.

Santa Cruz Skateboards Celebrates 50 Years

Santa Cruz Skateboards dropped its 50th Celebration video featuring sessions in Sea Cliff Skatepark, Mike Fox Skatepark, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and a live music jam at Moe’s Alley held last September 23.

Santa Cruz is the oldest skateboard company founded by Richard Novak, Doug Haut, and Jay Shuirman.

The trio is also behind NHS (from their last name initials), Santa Cruz’s parent company. NHS is also the distributor of the brands Santa Cruz Snowboards, Santa Cruz Surfboards, Creature SkateboardsIndependent Trucks, Bronson Speed Co., Krux Trucks, Ricta Wheels, Mob Grip, OJ Wheels, Road Rider, Slimeballs, Bullet and Nor Cal Clothing Co.
