Big L is one of the most respected rappers from the ‘90s golden era that produced Jay-Z, Biggie, and Wu-Tang, and helped lay the groundwork for modern hip hop. His murder in 1999 at age 25 remains one of the culture’s real tragedies. Mass Appeal is set to release a mini-documentary that will tell L’s story. Featuring Stretch & Bobbito, A$AP Ferg, RZA, Dave East, and more, Foul Child: The Legend of Big L will provide some perspective on the Harlem icon’s life and career for those that may not be familiar. Watch the trailer above. We’ll update when the film premieres on May 29.
