Why Brad Cromer Chose to Move to New York
You’ve seen Brad Cromer’s new HUF part by now. It has a great aesthetic that is in large part due to it being captured in New York. Cromer explains his move from Los Angeles to the East coast at the 2:34 mark of Monster Children’s recent feature in support of his latest effort.
I like the way people’s skating looks here versus other places. You can feel it in the footage, almost. The colors and visuals are more pleasing to the eye than that hazy California orangey. It’s just a different look. I was just ready to see how that would go. I would love to film a part all in New York, planing spots and tricks, have a song for it, and have it come out the way it’s in my head.
