Pharrell Williams Signs on to Produce Mikey Alfred’s ‘North Hollywood’

Published

on

Being rejected from Sundance isn’t slowing down the momentum of Mikey Alfred’s North Hollywood film. Deadline is reporting that Pharrell Williams has signed on to produce. The movie is being billed as the first major motion picture about becoming a pro skater, and stars Illegal Civ’s Ryder McLaughlin, Aramis Hudson, and Nico Hiraga alongside Vince Vaughn, Miranda Cosgrove, and Angus Cloud. Will Skateboard P’s involvement ensure that North Hollywood gets a wide release, or will this go the way of Rob Dyrdek’s Street Dreams? Time will tell. If you’re in the L.A. area, there will be a screening of Alfred’s new film tomorrow night at the ArcLight Hollywood at 6pm. Scroll through the below Instagram post for details.
