Wait, What: Is Classic Pier 7 Officially Back in Action?

Scrolling through the feed doesn’t yield too much of interest these days. This wasn’t the case this morning when we came across clips from both Chico Brenes and Jack Curtin from Pier 7 sans that stupid wood that’s been on top of the manual pad for at least a decade. We’re not sure how long this will last. But a glimpse of the old Pier in 2021 is certainly an unexpected surprise.

Watch the Highlights of the 2023 P-Stone Cup

Pro and am skaters came together at the Lower Bobs Skatepark in Oakland, California, for the 2023 P-Stone Cup. Grant Taylor and Lara Botto were declared winners of the event.

The annual skateboarding event honors legendary videographer and skateboarder Preston “P-Stone” Maigetter, who died in a car accident in 2017.

The P-Stone Cup started as an invitational event in 2018. It went on a hiatus because of the pandemic but came back last year.

Yuto Horigome Reigns Supreme at Rakuten Event

Skateboarding sensation Yuto Horigome takes top honors at Uprising Tokyo, held this Sunday at the Ariake Arena. Carlos Ribeiro and Toa Sasaki claimed second and third place, respectively.

Aoi Uemura, Coco Yoshizawa, and Nanami Oonishi shared the podium for the women’s division.

Organized by Rakuten, Uprising Tokyo strives to expand the popularity of skateboarding and its cultural influence in Japan and globally.
