LLSB’s 2015 documentary You Can’t Move History, You Can Secure the Future chronicles its effort to save the Undercroft skate space at Southbank. You Can Make History serves as follow-up piece that provides an update on the ongoing campaign to restore previously closed areas of the iconic spot. It gives an interesting look at the relationship skateboarding has with public spaces, and how it impacts the community at large. It also does a fantastic job of highlighting skating’s cultural relationship to the arts, and how that pertains to architecture. For more background information, head over to Slam City to read an interview with Dan Joyce about making the film; and visit the LLSB website to learn more about how you can get involved.
