In an update posted on Instagram last night, TORRO! Skateboards announced that Luis Tolentino will be retiring from professional skateboarding to pursue a full-time career off his board. Over the past decade, Tolentino has been a cornerstone of New York skateboarding, and rode for brands including: SHUT, TORRO!, Red Bull, and Famous Stars & Straps to name a few. According to this Jenkem profile video from 2017, Tolentino was slated to represent the Dominican Republic in next year’s Olympic Games. His powerful skateboarding and positive attitude will certainly be missed.
