UPDATE: Watch Milton Martinez’s SOTY-Worthy “Demolición” Part
With this year’s SOTY announcement just weeks away, Milton Martinez is throwing his hat into the ring tonight with the debut of his “Demolición” part at Volcom HQ in Costa Mesa. With the footage of his kickflip into the Sunset Car Wash that landed him on the cover of Thrasher in tow, Martinez’s new part will undoubtedly put him on the short list of 2019’s Skater of the Year contenders. But with the Primitive video dropping this weekend, and Baker 4 premiering later this month, it’s too early to call who will ultimately receive the trophy in December.
UPDATE 11.18.19: Thrasher unveiled Milton’s part this afternon; and it’s definitely a contender for SOTY. Have a look above, and decide for yourself if he should take home skateboarding’s top honor this year.
