Zion Wright Announces That He’s Off the Nike SB Team

In another unexpected team change, Zion Wright took to the ‘Gram last night to announce that his “partnership” with Nike SB has ended. The swoosh’s team page has been updated accordingly, and also no longer includes Wieger or Willis Kimbel. But given his age, contest prowess, Olympic hopeful status, television appearances, etc, it’s a bit more surprising that Nike would sever ties with Wright. Time will tell if SB continues to trim marquee riders as 2021 progresses.

Watch his Creature Fiend Club, released last year, below.

His other sponsors include Volcom, Vans, MOBgrip, Independent, Bones Bearing, Bones Wheels and Monster Energy.

On her Instagram page, Leticia Bufoni announced that she is departing from Monarch. She was one of the original faces of Monarch, a skateboard brand launched in 2021. She has yet to announce her new board sponsor.

Ruby Lilley Joins Foundation Skateboards Team

Foundation Skateboards welcomes Ruby Lilley to the team. The 16-year-old skateboarder from Oceanside, CA, is part of the 2023 USA Skateboarding National Team for Women’s Park.

She has become a well-known presence in skateboarding competitions, having won the 2022 Exposure Vert Pro Open, and second place in both the 2022 USA Skateboarding National Championships and X-Games Japan.
